#UTC Time

UTC is the single time standard used to define the start and end of every major amateur radio contest and to stamp each QSO in a Cabrillo log. A contact logged with the wrong clock, time zone or daylight saving setting can fall outside the contest period or move into the wrong hour. This tag collects articles about keeping your PC clock correct, recording UTC in your logger and spotting timestamp problems before you submit. Good timekeeping also protects your off time, your break calculations and your hour-by-hour statistics. Posts here explain symptoms, consequences and simple prevention such as network time synchronization. Treat the time stamp as seriously as the callsign.
