This Privacy Policy explains how Contest Analyzer (the website contestanalyzer.com and the application app.contestanalyzer.com, together the “Service”) collects and uses personal data. We collect only what we need to run the Service and we do not sell personal data.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by Internet Solutions, UAB, a company registered in the Republic of Lithuania (European Union): company code 302617697, VAT code LT100006088413, registered address Tvenkinių g. 8A, Šakių k., Kauno r. sav., LT-47415, Lithuania. E-mail for privacy requests: [email protected].
We apply the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to every user, wherever you are.
2. What data we process
| Category | What it includes |
|---|---|
| Account data | Name, e-mail address, password (stored only as a one-way hash), plan and its validity, and when your account was created. |
| Callsigns | The amateur radio callsigns you add to your account and the result of their verification (verified, pending or rejected), including the public name of the licence holder used to verify a callsign. |
| Contest logs | The Cabrillo files you upload and their contents: your callsign, category and other header fields, and every QSO line (time, frequency, mode, the callsigns you worked and the exchanges sent and received). We also store the check reports and any corrections you make. |
| Communication | Messages you send us and service e-mails we send you (for example password reset e-mails). |
| Technical data | IP address, browser and device information and request logs created by our servers when you use the website or the application. |
3. Why we process data and on what legal basis
- Running your account and checking your logs — performance of our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Verifying callsigns, so that an account can check only its own callsigns — our legitimate interest in preventing account sharing and misuse (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Improving the accuracy of checks. Data from uploaded logs may be used, in anonymous form, to confirm QSOs and improve checking for all users. Your log, your callsign and your file are never shown to other users — our legitimate interest in providing accurate results (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Security, abuse prevention and service e-mails — our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Accounting and tax for paid plans — legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
4. Callsigns of other stations
A contest log naturally contains the callsigns of the stations you worked. Amateur radio callsigns are public identifiers. We use them only to check logs, and we never publish them or show one user’s log to another.
5. Who receives data
We use carefully selected service providers acting on our instructions: hosting providers (the Service runs on our own servers), e-mail delivery providers, payment processors for paid plans, and reference and licence-database providers used to check callsigns. We do not sell personal data and do not share it for advertising.
6. How long we keep data
- Account data, callsigns, logs and reports — while your account is active. You can delete a log at any time in My logs. After the account is deleted, its data is removed from our live systems within 30 days and from backups when they are overwritten in the normal backup cycle.
- Invoices, orders and payment records — for the period required by Lithuanian accounting and tax law (currently up to 10 years), even after account deletion.
- Server and security logs — for a limited period, normally not longer than 12 months, unless needed longer to investigate an incident.
- Support correspondence — for as long as needed to handle your request and for up to 3 years afterwards for follow-up questions and legal claims.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent. Write to [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with the State Data Protection Inspectorate of Lithuania (vdai.lrv.lt) or the authority in your country.
8. Cookies
The website and the application use only the cookies needed to work: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, a “remember me” cookie if you choose it, and a cookie that remembers your language. We do not use advertising cookies. If we add analytics in the future, it will be loaded only after you agree.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version; important changes will be announced in the Service.
