#Portable Stations

Portable, mobile and maritime mobile stations use callsigns with a prefix or a suffix, such as /P, /M or /MM. The suffix describes how the station operates, the prefix usually shows the country it operates from, and neither one tells you the zone. In countries with several zones the zone must be taken from what the station sends. This tag collects articles on logging slash calls, zones and countries, and on operating portable in a contest yourself. The posts refer to the current rules for how special cases such as maritime mobile stations count.
