#Copying Accuracy
Copying accuracy describes how reliably an operator takes down a callsign and an exchange in a contest. Errors typically show up as a missing, added or swapped character, a wrong digit or a lost suffix. Accuracy depends on speed, noise, fatigue and the habits used for fills, repeats and confirmations. Because a single wrong character can remove a QSO and sometimes a multiplier, small improvements in accuracy have a large effect on the final score. The articles under this tag explain how to measure your own error patterns and how to reduce them. They apply to CW, SSB and digital modes alike.
