#Audio Recording

Audio recording in contesting means saving the receiver audio, and sometimes your own transmissions, during the whole contest or for each QSO. The main use is checking doubtful callsigns, zones and exchanges afterwards, when you can listen again without time pressure and correct what the recording supports. A useful recording needs a correct PC clock, files that can be found by time, enough disk space and a habit of marking uncertain contacts while operating. Recordings are also a good training tool for improving your own copying and sending habits. The articles under this tag explain a practical setup and a method for listening back. Rules about recording and about outside help can differ, so check them for your situation.
