#CQ WPX

The CQ World Wide WPX Contest is a worldwide HF contest in which the callsign prefix, not the country or zone, is the multiplier. The exchange is a signal report and a serial number, so the contest rewards rate and accurate callsign copying. It is held in separate SSB and CW events, and it has its own categories, operating time rules and log deadline set by the organizers. Articles under this tag explain how prefixes work, how to log serial numbers and what to check in your file. For any detail that can change, such as dates and categories, use the current official rules.
