#Cabrillo Frequency

The frequency field is the first data column of a Cabrillo QSO line. On the HF bands it is written in whole kilohertz, such as 14025 for 14.025 MHz, while the specification uses band designators for bands above HF. The field matters because it fixes the band, and the band decides multipliers, dupes and category compliance. In most stations it is filled in automatically from the transceiver through a computer control connection, which can fail without warning during a contest. The articles under this tag explain the format, the usual mistakes and quick checks you can make in a text editor before you submit. They apply to files from N1MM Logger+, DXLog and Win-Test.
